BALTIMORE, MD - Comptroller Bill Henry today named Andy Frank as the permanent Real Estate Officer overseeing the Department of Real Estate (DoRE).  

 “Andy has been such an important member of my transition team and I’m ecstatic to have him continue on as our chief Real Estate Officer,” Henry said. “His knowledge and expertise will be vital as we modernize City government’s real estate functions."

Frank has served as Acting Real Estate Officer since March 2020 following the retirement of former DoRE Director Walter Horton. He originally joined the Comptroller’s Office in February 2020 as the Deputy Director of Real Estate.  

“As I have emphasized with the Comptroller and his senior staff, the Department of Real Estate’s greatest asset is its remarkable team,” Frank said. “I’m looking forward to continuing our work together.” 

Frank has previously worked as a Deputy Mayor for Baltimore City and as executive vice president for the Baltimore Development Corporation. 

The Department of Real Estate, under the direction of the Comptroller’s Office, manages the City’s real estate assets that include municipal buildings, surplus schools, and tax sales properties.
